WEBSITE OVERVIEW:
Growing attention is being given today to issues about environmental pollution, allergens and sensitivity, and in particular
to our air quality. Witness the 1000's of Internet searches done daily in Google and other search engines on subjects like
"indoor air pollution", and "mold inspection and testing". This brings to light a field of real importance to our quality of life:
Indoor Air Quality.

Do you know that poor indoor air quality (IAQ) in the home can affect the health of the occupants? Excessive moisture
(so prominent here on the Wet Coast), mold, pets, lifestyle, chemical contaminants and carbon monoxide can cause
indoor air quality problems. The good news is that there are ways to deal with such problems and significantly improve
indoor air quality.

Much of the time, you can solve an IAQ problem yourself. Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) has
produced The Clean Air Guide and This Clean House videos as very good references to start with (visit
CMHC’s website for more details). At the same time, solving an IAQ problem may require a Professional's investigation.

every time you bring home the dry cleaning, spritz an air freshener or ignore a mouldy

have to pull a full Martha Stewart to get the new year off to a fresh start - just follow these
easy steps . . . (read the Chatelaine magazine article . . . .)
INDOOR AIR QUALITY Issues:
MOLD - Mold can be harmful or helpful — depending on where it grows. Molds are
undesirable when they grow where we don’t want them, such as in homes. It's important to recognize that ALL molds can
potentially produce and release toxins into the air.
